How to Create a WordPress Portfolio Website Using an Elementor Template

Before we get started, you’ll need to have a few items installed on your WordPress account. To create a template, start by creating a new page from the WordPress Dashboard > Pages > Add New give your name a title, and click on Edit with Elementor. You’ll be redirected to the Elementor Editor screen.

To apply the template to your newly created page, just simply click on the Insert button.

Step 2: Personalizing the Demo Content

The next step is critical, start replacing the demo content. For this, just click on any design element, and from the left-hand Elementor screen, you can change the values for any item currently present on your applied template.

To add a testimonial section to your newly created personal portfolio WordPress website, just search for the ER Testimonial widget from the left-hand side menu. And drop it at the bottom of your webpage. 

To do so, create some new Elementor page sections, in the shape you want to display your testimonial block. 

And give it a title using the ER Area Title widget. When you drop the title widget on top of the testimonial block, a menu will appear on the left-hand side. Just simply add your title text and change to your preferred Style options.

Now do the same for the testimonial. But in this case, you’ll have to collect statements given by your clients and add them manually. 

To do so, head over to the left-hand side of the screen, and under the Content tab click Add New on the testimonial item section and add as many testimonials as you want. We recommend showcasing 3-5, as we don’t want to overwhelm the visitors. 

In each testimonial item, you can add an image, title, position, designation, name, and the testimonial itself.
